Subway is turning skywatching into sandwich savings with a limited-time hunt tied to the Lyrid Meteor Shower. Spot a genuine Lyrid meteorite, prove it, and you could score Free Subway for a Year. The window to find your space rock runs April 16 through April 25, 2026, with a single grand prize up for grabs.
How to Enter
Follow these three steps to participate:
- Find it: Search for a meteorite from the Lyrid Meteor Shower between April 16 and April 25, 2026.
- Document it: If you find one, take a clear photo and record the date, time, and exact location (GPS coordinates are best).
- Submit it: Send in your photos and details during the Submission Phase. If your find looks promising, you will move to the Validation Phase, where scientific proof that it is a genuine Lyrid meteorite is required to win.
Prize Details
There is one prize: Free Subway for a Year, awarded as $2,600 in Subway gift cards. Free Subway for a Year is calculated at $50 a week for 52 weeks. The prize will be fulfilled as five $500 Subway physical gift cards and one $100 Subway physical gift card. Gift cards will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or damaged. The ARV of the prize is $2,600.
