Think of it this way: If you are going to be spending money in a particular store anyways, you will be saving money by buying a discounted gift card. For example, my husband is doing some home upkeep project and need to go to Home Depot. We go on Raise and buy Home Depot gift cards. Even if the savings was say 7%, that’s still savings. That’s like $7 for every $100 spent. It ads up quickly! And some gift cards have discounted rates up to 20% or more. If you find a gift card for $10, you can score it for $5 with the Free $5 Credit. The lowered dollar value gift cards tend to go fast. If the $10 or less ones are all gone, look for $15 or $25.
